I don’t know how to start this, so I’m just going to say it. I’ve never been to Texas Roadhouse. I’ve lived in Texas for 20 years and I’ve never been there. I’m sorry. I’m not sure why I’ve never been; I have no excuses. I’m sorry if I let you down. Please stop frowning; I went to TRH on Saturday September 14th 2019. I’m here to tell you about one of the best nights of my life.
I was with two of my good friends Zach and Hao. I know you’re thinking, “What the hell is that name?” and I’m glad you asked. His name is Hao and its pronounced “How”, so now you know that Hao is How. So anyway we were at Hao’s lavish apartment for the evening just doing typical guys stuff, you know the drill. We were drained from all the guy stuff and needed to get some food, which turned into us going back and forth for 30 minutes on restaurants. I then suggested Texas Roadhouse. After begging, they settled, and we hopped into my mid-sized sedan. From there it was just me, my friends and my smile on the way to the meat haven.
The only word I can use to describe the feeling inside was bumping. So many sleeveless shirts and it just smelled of cooked meat. I don’t want to lie to you; I’m tearing up while typing this. The booth they sat us at was a majestic oak that would make you question the value of your own furniture. Our lovely waitress brought us their world famous rolls. I recommend them to anyone regardless of gluten allergies. The butter was so soft you could dip the bread into it like a dip.
I’m tired of the flirting you and I are doing right now so lets just get into the nitty gritty and talk about the main course. I ordered the ribeye with green beans and mashed potatoes it was simply magnificent. I’m no food critic but I felt like it was a great meal and I think all of you should try it. A little pricy but just skip a couple meals here and there to afford it. I did work out a discount with them though so just tell them I sent you.
If you made it this far you’re probably asking, “How was this one of the best nights of your life?” Well after we got back to Hao’s apartment Zach turned on season one of Jersey Shore without telling me. My boys and I watched Jersey Shore. I’m still smiling. 6/10
